Nude Mokena man strikes twice in same day

Updated: May 28, 2012 8:43AM

A Mokena man is facing a disorderly conduct charge after police found him walking outside without pants twice in the same day.

A Joliet father taking his young child to the bathroom at Mokena’s Main Park on Monday called police after Gerard Corbett exited the bathroom wearing a long white shirt and carrying his pants in his hands, according to police. They said that by the time officers found Corbett about 150 yards away from the bathroom, he was completely nude and his clothes were scattered throughout the park.

Corbett, 38, told police he had been drinking beer and tequila in downtown Mokena and did not know how he ended up in the park in the 10900 block of LaPorte Road. Corbett, of 12125 Heinecke Drive, was charged with disorderly conduct and released on bond Monday night.

About 40 minutes later, an officer was called to the 12000 block of Kent Trail after residents saw Corbett walking down the street, again carrying his pants instead of wearing them, police said. They said the officer warned Corbett about violating his bond, drove him home and escorted him inside.
