Lockport Township High School Board seeks new member

LOCKPORT — The Lockport Township High School District is accepting applications from interested candidates to fill a school board vacancy until the next general election on April 9, 2013.

The vacancy was created when board member Susan Forbes relocated out of the district.

Resumes will be accepted until noon Sept. 14 at the LTHS Administrative Center, 1232 E. Seventh St. Resumes may be submitted in person or via email to gmickulas@lths.org.

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, a registered voter and a district resident for at least one year.

Interested parties also cannot be a child sex offender, and be willing to serve until the April 2013 Board of Education election.
