This is in response to Tina Tomaras’ remark (April 26) about joint responsibility between a man and a woman regarding birth control. I’m sure then she would agree that it is a joint responsibility and a joint decision between a woman and the father of the unborn child she chooses to abort.

Way to go, Mayor!
I would like to applaud Mayor Baldermann for publicly stating a boycott for all New Lenox gas stations. He is absolutely correct. I have been buying my gas outside New Lenox for some time because of the price gouging.

Legal immigrants only
Illegal immigration is wrong, and the governor of Arizona is right at what she’s trying to do. This should have nothing to do with racial profiling. It has to do with people coming into this country illegally and politicians, including the president, wanting to make them American citizens. Americans are fined and millions of dollars are collected each day across the country for illegal acts. Red-light cameras is one of the new ways. Immigrants who came here legally should be proud to show their papers. Racially profiling is not the problem; it’s the excuse used by the illegal immigrants. It’s time for the courts to rule.

We pay the bills
Congress is taking care of Wall Street, big business, millionaires and the 1 percenters and ignoring the 99 percent who pay the bills.

Glad I missed it
I admit I have read Second Thessalonians Chapter 3. And now that I have read it completely, I’m glad I missed it. I will not have to judge who has wandered from the straight path, who is not working to the point of exhaustion and who is a busybody. The most important sentence is Chapter 3:15. And anyone who would like to read it should and pass their own judgment.
