OpenLine: Bullying gays not moral

The Illinois Family Institute is concerned that a proposed anti-bullying bill in the state Legislature will indoctrinate students and teachers with false beliefs of the morality of homosexuality. They want to allow students to opt out of the program at will. They want to neutralize the anti-bullying affect of the bill to protect children who are perceived as gay. Medical science does not believe that homosexuality is a disease or that gay people are anything less than human beings. They are not an offense to God or man. They often are bullied kids whose prosecutors have learned at home that gay people are evil. It’s long past time that our society asks itself how many crimes have been committed in the name of morality.

Bar Norquist sycophants
We the people cannot do anything about Grover Norquist.
But what we can do is bar anybody who signed his petition about taxes. It’s up to us whether we want to leave people in
there, who are employed by us, who do not work in our best interest.

Democrats are to blame
An OpenLine commenter stated Republicans should offer amendments if they don’t like Obamacare. Republicans offered many amendments that were rejected by the Democratic Congress. Republicans did not sabotage progress. Democrats with complete control for two years are responsible for high unemployment, gas prices and debt. Democrat progress includes a deepened and prolonged recession, attacks on religious freedom and job-killing policies. The new Republican House of Representatives passed many job-creation bills that were rejected by the Democratic Senate.
