OpenLine: Plundering the poor

Updated: September 29, 2012 6:03AM

We have an organization in place to look over the very things that kill people. They give it a snazzy little three-letter identification. It is the ATF. It means alcohol, tobacco and firearms. We should add a “G” to all of that, because now, we’re putting gambling machines in taverns and drinking establishments. We’re trying to find new ways of covering our excessive spending and overtime hours for community service cops, lazy firemen and other people who you really don’t see. The one thing that I don’t understand is why you are always trying to plunder the poor to continually pad the pockets of the rich.

No gays in Boy Scouts

The Boy Scouts stand for being morally strong. They should not be forced to accept immoral and repugnant behavior in the name of tolerance or anything else. Stand strong, Boy Scouts. You’re doing the right thing.

Left-wing buffoonery

You may think the only two certainties in life are death and taxes. However, now that this president has been in office for more than three years you can add a third certainty to our lives. We also get to endure more left-wing buffoonery every time this president gets unplugged from his Teleprompter. First, we were told by the unplugged president this summer that the private-sector economy is doing just fine. What? Then this same president told business owners that they did not build their own business. What? During the upcoming presidential debates this president will again be unplugged from his valued Teleprompter. I can assure you that we will hear more left-wing buffoonery from this radical ideologue during the presidential debates.
