I’d like to say thank you to all my neighbors on Loral Avenue in Joliet.
Since September 2010, I’ve been battling late-stage endometrial cancer. At times, my treatments have left me extremely ill. Neighbors have made food or given restaurant gift cards, shoveled my drive and sidewalks in the winter, mowed the grass ... and perhaps most importantly, given me words of encouragement.
They’ve done this without ever being asked. Without an expectation of reciprocity or even thanks. The support, prayers, and kindness they’ve shown is so very much appreciated.
Every person in Joliet should be so lucky as to have these people as neighbors.

Good time for a great cause
The 36th Annual Corvettes Unlimited Corvette Show and Corral hosted by Bill Jacobs Joliet was a huge success. The Chicago-area Chevy dealership had many attendees at the show and there were plenty of Chevrolet Corvettes to check out as well. The event is Chicagoland’s largest Corvette club show and it held up to its name.
Not only was the event a great chance to check out some of the rarest Corvettes built, but it was also an opportunity to help out a great cause. Bill Jacobs Joliet is adamant about helping out the community and the families that live in it, which is why the Corvettes Unlimited Club donated $1,000 to a Bill Jacobs choice charity, the Rush NeuroBehavioral Center. This is a great cause that the Auto Group sincerely believes in and they are happy to help with it.
The Rush NeuroBehavioral Center serves the medical, psychological and educational needs of children who have neurobehavioral issues. The center places special emphasis on social-emotional learning impairments. They provide the best care to children, teens or young adults who have difficulty forming relationships, regulating behavior or functioning effectively due to differences in the way their brains process information.
The money raised during the Corvette show will go to help the center keep moving forward in its mission to help these people.
Bill Jacobs Joliet would like to thank all those who came out and participated in the 36th Annual Corvettes Unlimited Show. The event was a positive experience for guests, vendors, Corvette club members and shoppers alike.
