I would like to give a big thank you to the Oakwood Cemetery board president, Mike Sayles, and to Dave Apgar and staff for the nice condition at Oakwood Cemetery. The roads are being blacktopped and the grounds work is greatly improved.
Your time-consuming work is much appreciated and I am personally thankful to everyone for their efforts in maintaining
the grounds. Thank you to
everyone involved in volunteering your time at this historic
cemetery.

Country in moral decay
I opened my May 13 paper to page 13 and read “Gay marriage should not be a crime” (Common Sense, Kathy McCarthy). It should more appropriately be called a sin. Gay marriage legitimizes sexual perversion, namely sodomy. No culture should tolerate these perversions; even animals know better.
A few pages later, I saw an article touting the new AIDS prevention pill, Truvada. It “only” costs $11,000 to $14,000 a year. (“AIDS fight enters new phase with prevention pill”) Abstaining from deviate sex acts is a much cheaper preventative.
Who will pay for these pills? If Obamacare survives the Supreme Court scrutiny, we, the 51 percent who pay income tax will. Undoubtedly, the potential users will probably fall into the 49 percent who pay no income tax. This is a prime example of Obama’s wealth distribution.
Moral decay and financial ruin will bring down this country if we continue on this course. This country has an abundance of natural resources, yet we fail to use them. We allow ourselves to be held hostage by a few environmentalists.
Secular humanists fail to understand that when God created this earth, he included all the elements and resources for man to enjoy, but not abuse.
We need to worship Father God, not Mother Earth. The only thing that might save us is a nationwide spiritual revival and leaders with wisdom from above.
