Letters: Thanks to Rotary

On behalf of our district alternative school, it is with the deepest gratitude that I thank the Plainfield Rotary for the generous donation extended to our Academy Program students this holiday season. The Plainfield Rotary donation to our “Shop with a Cop” program enabled us to sponsor a student from each of our four programs: Academy, Therapeutic, Turnabout, and Post Secondary Education. The Shop with a Cop program is a joint venture between the Plainfield Police Department and Plainfield School District that began in 2007. Since its inception, the Shop with a Cop program has raised nearly $50,000 to help students and families of Plainfield around the holidays. All of our sponsored students and families this year were in dire need, and the Plainfield Rotary contribution made this season very special for our families. As the Principal of the Academy Programs, I am very grateful for the relationship we have with the Rotary Club of Plainfield! Thank you for your service!
