Wilhelmi will bring jobs
There is a lot of anger and discontent. People are hurting and frustrated. As voters, we have to ask, “Who is the best person to lead us through these difficult times?”
We must examine what the candidates have done for us and what they pledge to do moving forward.
Our area is plagued with unemployment, and we need a leader who will do something about it. Spending time with state Sen. A.J. Wilhelmi, I’m convinced he understands what it will take to put people back to work. When A.J. is working here or in Springfield, he has one thing on his mind, the people he represents.
Wilhelmi is determined to bring jobs back to Will County. The capital bill he helped pass not only creates jobs, but improves our infrastructure, making our area more attractive to companies that want to locate here. Wilhelmi understands the ultimate goal is to unite our communities to bring opportunities and jobs to all. He knows these jobs must pay living wages, as evidenced by his vote to increase the minimum wage.
Keeping our education system strong is important. Wilhelmi understands the important role education plays to make sure our children have the skills needed to succeed.
Wilhelmi has a proven record of working to protect the interests of our community. He is the leader we need moving forward. I hope you join me in supporting him on Nov. 2.

They need to be fired
This November’s election is important. However, next April the Joliet city residents must remember to vote in our local election. Two-term incumbent Councilman Jan Quillman and four-term Councilman Tom Giarrante literally wrote pension spiking into the employee handbook, costing taxpayers nearly $500,000 extra on the retirement of former City Manager John Mezera. Now, these two want to be mayor.
We need to stop insiders from taking care of insiders at taxpayers’ expense. We must expose these elected officials that either supported these actions or stood by and did nothing. They need to be fired.
