I see where the Illinois corporations have a new white knight. His name is Tommy C. from the Oswego area and he said we can’t afford to give a tax break to the voters in his area, but we want to give more tax breaks to the big corporations. Also he said that if unemployment goes up, the corporations should get more of a break. They shouldn’t have to pay as much and they should lower the salaries of the unemployed people, which they are doing now. So when you see Tommy C., our representative from the Oswego area, thank him for trying to cut back on your money.

Jesus was a liberal
Jesus of Nazareth may not have been a god, but he was undoubtedly a liberal.

Reach Across America was quite a sight
Thank you, Jean Edwards, for mentioning Reach Across America in your article. I guess it wasn’t a big deal, though. It didn’t make the paper. To see all of those great volunteers that came out to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery to lay wreaths on our veterans grave was quite a sight.

Let’s get America
back again
To get America back again, there are real solutions like raising taxes on the rich, putting regulations on bankers, setting trade tariffs, weaving a strong social safety net and protecting rights for people to unionize and organize unions.

Demonstrators
breaking the law
The people who take to the streets and demonstrate under the pretense of freedom of speech aren’t they breaking the law if they don¹t have a permit? Laws like unlawful assembly, loitering, disturbing the peace, blocking access to the right-of-way and mob action? Most of the time, the police refuse to arrest these individuals. I just hope the police will someday enforce the duties they were empowered with and protect us from these people.

Media coverage
of rallies is biased
The national media reporting of tea party rallies and occupy protests is biased. They reported two unsubstantiated minor incidents at the party rallies, but ignored 75 serious documented incidents at occupy protests. They reported a light turnout of blacks at rallies but ignored the same situation and anti-Semitic at protests.

Gas stations a rip off
Stopped in the Jewel area today and gas was $3.65 a gallon. Went down the street about a mile and a half or so to Briggs Street and Haven and it was $3.49 a gallon. Looks like Jewel and others near it are up there with the prices. If you don’t mind getting ripped off, go there.
