He stood outside his home Wednesday morning talking with his oldest daughter, Jasmine, who has just finished her first year of college. “Right now we’re trying to just deal with it,” Oliver said. “She was a very good girl. A man wanted for the murder of his bride who was found stabbed to death Sunday in Burbank was “very possessive” and jealous and called a relative Sunday to say he left his new wife bleeding after a “bad fight,” the dead woman’s sister said Wednesday. The irony is not lost on JoAnne Mizwicki. As the New Lenox Township woman and some friends prepare for a Saturday fundraiser in honor of her late son, Patrick Mizwicki, the Cook County Forest Preserve District has renovated a path at the forest preserve site near Palos Hills where the Lincoln-Way East High School student was fatally struck by a car in September. The change is designed to prevent future tragedies. “It is ironic. It’s almost divine how it’s all come together,” JoAnne Mizwicki said. JOLIET — The Catholic Diocese of Joliet is not likely to leave with the blessings of City Hall when it moves to Crest Hill. The diocese could potentially leave three large buildings vacant in a year when it starts to move to a strip mall it is acquiring out of foreclosure along Weber Road. Besides that, just the fact that the Diocese of Joliet won’t be in Joliet bothers some people. “It is a Joliet diocese, and I’m disappointed that they’re leaving,” Mayor Thomas Giarrante said. “I understand they have a deal on where they’re going.
