Garage opener taken from vehicle aids in theft of Lexus

A 2003 Lexus GS5300 was stolen sometime before Saturday morning from a residential garage, Batavia police said.
Police said a thief used a garage door opener left in another, unsecured vehicle parked in the driveway in the 1500 block of Darby Court to enter the garage.
The vehicle has yellow fog lights, gray rims and tinted windows.
Batavia police said they found a door ajar of another vehicle on Darby Court while en route to the call of the car theft. Personal belongings, including a pair of eyeglasses, were stolen, police said, and there was evidence that someone tried to steal tool boxes from a truck parked nearby.
A computer valued at $1,200 was stolen from a vehicle in the 700 block of Lake Street, Batavia police said. The theft occurred sometime before Saturday.
Vicki A. Mitchell, 41, 700 block of Lake Street, was charged with drunken driving and disobeying a traffic light at 12:02 a.m. Friday in the area of Columbia and North River Streets, Batavia police said.
Four teens from Montgomery and Aurora were arrested at 12:48 a.m. Friday after a traffic stop for a license plate violation near Circle Drive East and South Bereman Drive in Montgomery, Kendall County sheriff’s deputies said. According to deputies, the driver did not have a valid driver’s license or auto insurance, and the vehicle had no front registration plate. Deputies said the three teenage passengers were cited separately with violation of curfew, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana. All four teens, ages 17 and 16, were arrested on the scene.
