The senior shortstop enjoys hanging with friends and family, country music and softball.
You have a unique first name. Is there a story behind it?
Not really. But I haven’t heard of anyone else having that first name, so it’s unique. A lot of people think it’s my last name.
The Lockport softball team is always among the best in, not only the area, but in the state. What’s it like to put on the Porters uniform?
I think we look at it like “Let’s keep the tradition going.” We have a lot of talent, but our key is to play as a team.
You signed to play at Western Illinois. What was the deciding factor to go there?
I really liked the coaches there. Plus, (former Lockport catcher) Lia Romeo being there is a big plus. I played with her a whole lot.
Do you have any on-field rituals that you do during a game?
Yes, I spit in my glove between every single pitch. I don’t know why, but I just have to.
What’s your favorite TV show?
“The Voice.” It’s like a different version of “American Idol.” But I like it better because there’s a lot of country singers on it.
So is country your favorite music?
Yes, definitely. Kenny Chesney is my favorite singer. My favorite song by him is “Live A Little.”
If you could take one celebrity to prom, who would it be and why?
Adam Levine from Maroon 5. Because he’s such a good singer, and I also like his tattoos.
As told to Randy Whalen
