Boys Volleyball
Plainfield East 25-25, Plainfield Central 18-15: Tom Poznanski racked up 10 kills and six digs for host Plainfield East (13-7, 6-3) in the Southwest Prairie. Cody Swanson added 17 assists for the Bengals.
Reavis 25-28-25, Lemont 12-30-21: Mike Krueger slammed 14 kills for visiting Lemont in the South Suburban crossover.
Girls Soccer
Lockport 2, Bolingbrook 0: Franceska Vargas and Gina Collesano netted goals for host Lockport (13-6, 4-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Lauren Labanauskas had two assists for the Porters in support of Lauren DeYoung, who recorded her seventh shutout (5 saves).
Wilmington 7, Plano 0: Kaylie Davis scored twice for visiting Wilmington (6-4-2).
Lincoln-Way Central 2, Andrew 0: Meghan Killinger and Caley Michalak scored for host Lincoln-Way Central (13-7, 4-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Rachel Post assisted on both goals for the Knights.
Boys Water Polo
Lockport 16, Neuqua Valley 11: Dave Hir netted 10 goals to pace host Lockport.
Women’s Tennis
NCAA Midwest Regional
Lewis 5, Northwood (Texas) 4: Kendra Mills’ win at No. 6 singles enabled host Lewis (24-2) to capture its first Midwest Regional championship in school history. Mills also teamed with Katie Hargrove for a victory at third-seeded doubles. The Flyers’ next match is May 16 against Columbus (Ga.) State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
