Lewis U. falls in NCAA volleyball semifinal

The Lewis University Flyers lost their semifinal match against top-ranked USC in the NCAA men’s volleyball semifinals Thursday night.

The Flyers lost 3-1 to the top-seeded Trojans in Los Angelos. USC dominated early winning the first two sets, but the Flyers fought their way back into the match by handily winning the third set 25-18. They then came out strong in the fourth set, taking an early lead .

But Lewis could not hold off repeated attacks by the Trojans and eventually dropped the final set 27-25.
