The senior first baseman enjoys running, shopping and going to the beach.
Wilmington will play Coal City in the opening game of the Seneca Regional. What are your expectations for the postseason?
We’re looking forward to good competition. Hopefully, we can get past Coal City and play Seneca.
The Wildcats are having a good season (15-10 through May 6). What’s been the key to the team’s success?
We have a strong bond between everyone on the team. That’s why we do well all the time.
What makes softball the best sport?
I like the competition, how close you get to your teammates and that you play so much.
If you could trade places with one of your teammates for a day, who would it be and why?
Stephanie Stefancic. She’s our junior catcher. I’d want to switch places with her because then I could call the pitches as a catcher. I like that, since I’m a catcher on my travel team, the Stone City Sharks.
If you could take any celebrity to prom, who would it be?
Jason Statham. He’s explosive in action movies. He’s really awesome at fighting and he’s really good looking.
What’s been your favorite moment as a player at Wilmington?
When we beat Coal City last year. We played at The Island in the middle of town and there were over 400 people there. We were down by seven runs going into the bottom of the seventh, but scored eight runs and came back to win 16-15. We all came together and everyone hit in the last inning.
As told to Randy Whalen
