What’s been your most glorious athletic moment?
Pitching on the varsity as a freshman and shutting out Andrew in my first start.
What’s been the most embarrassing?
One time, when I was younger, I thought I hit a home run and started trotting and got thrown out at second.
What’s been a key to your success on the mound this year?
The addition of pitching coach (Joe) Host. He is a genius.
How many pitches do you throw, what’s your best pitch and why?
Three. A fastball, curve and change. My curveball misses the most bats.
What’s a key for the Tigers the rest of the season?
All three phases. Pitching, defense and timely hitting.
What’s your goal this season?
What is your favorite pig-out food?
Who are your favorite athletes?
Frank Thomas and Justin Verlander.
Nobody knows …
I’m color blind.
What’s on your iPod?
What is your favorite movie?
“Dodgeball,” because there are so many one-liners.
