No. 6 Morris 56, Dixon 6: Zach Cinnamon was 5-of-9 passing for 113 yards and three touchdowns for visiting Morris (4-0) in the Northern Illinois Big 12 crossover. Jeff Perry scored on a 61-yard run for the Redskins in addition to hauling in a 17-yard TD pass from Cinnamon.
No. 8 Coal City 31, Herscher 10: Rylan Tondini ran for 73 yards and two touchdowns to guide host Coal City (4-0, 2-0) in the Interstate Eight Large.
No. 9 Wilmington 58, Dwight 0: Sean Liaromatis threw four touchdown passes for host Wilmington (3-1, 2-0) in the Interstate Eight Small.
Oswego East 32, Plainfield South 27: Host Plainfield South (1-3, 0-2) came up short in the Southwest Prairie.
Plano 21, Peotone 20 (OT): Quarterback Jace Cowger contributed a 2-yard touchdown run for host Peotone (3-1, 1-1) in the Interstate Eight Large.
Seneca 46, Westmont 13: Logan Pifer ran for a pair of touchdown to spark host Seneca (2-2, 2-0) in the Interstate Eight Small.
Boys Golf
Joliet Township co-op 154, Lincoln-Way Central 157: Medalist Devyn Boswell shot a 1-under-par 35 to pace Joliet Township co-op in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. Tony Kestel (36) had the best score for Lincoln-Way Central at Inwood.
Girls Golf
Lemont 186, Plainfield South 216: Lemont’s Bridget Lynn was the medalist by shooting a 41 at Wedgewood. Alex Catalano (43) had the top score for Plainfield South.
Men’s Cross Country
National Catholic Invitational: Lewis (98 points) finished second behind Aquinas College (50) in the meet at Notre Dame. The Flyers were led by runner-up Sean Smith, who completed the 5–mile race in 25 minutes, 11.8 seconds.
Illinois Intercollegiate Championships: Phil Rizzo (24.42) was fifth in the 5-mile contest as St. Francis (96) finished third in the 36-team field in Normal.
Men’s Soccer
Bethel College (Ind.) Classic
Indiana Wesleyan 2, St. Francis 1 (2 OTs): Abel Trujillo had the goal for St. Francis (0-5).
Women’s Cross Country
National Catholic Invitational: Lewis’ Amy Clawson (18.57.9) posted a career-best time in finishing eighth in the 3.1-mile contest. As a team, the Flyers (101) finished second behind Seton Hall (62).
Illinois Intercollegiate Championships: St. Francis (294) was 10th among the 30 squads. The Saints were led by Hilary Halford (18:11), who came in 19th.
Women’s Soccer
St. Francis 3, Clarke (Iowa) 1: Patricia Masterson scored twice for host St. Francis (5-1).
Lewis 3, William Jewell (Mo.) 2: Jessica Safell’s goal in the final half-minute was the difference for visiting Lewis (4-1, 2-1) in the Great Lakes Valley.
