Corbett Oughton, of Minooka, is the Herald-News Football Player of the Week.
Oughton, a senior cornerback, intercepted three passes, returning one 36 yards for a touchdown, in the Indians’ 45-14 victory over previously unbeaten Plainfield Central. Oughton also broke up two passes, helping the Indians limit the Wildcats to 6-of-23 passing for 57 yards. Oughton’s efforts helped Minooka earn its first victory of the season.
