Boswell, a returning sectional qualifier, shot a 75 at Broken Arrow for third place in the 12-team Lockport Shootout. He’ll look to help Joliet Township co-op defend its SouthWest Suburban Blue title.

Do you have any superstitions out on the course?

I was born on the seventh, so I always want seven tees in my pocket. I’ll count them a few times to make sure I have seven.

You can golf with anyone. Who are you taking in your quartet?

Dustin Johnson, Barack Obama and Jack Nicklaus.

Why Dustin Johnson?

I try to model my game after him. I go out and try to hit it as far as I can.

What’s on your iPod?

Brian McKnight, Alicia Keys and Drake.

Facebook or fantasy football?

Can I go with fantasy baseball? Everyone in my family is a huge baseball fan. We’re all really dedicated to it and keep up with the stats.

Cubs or Sox?

I’m the only Cubs fan in my whole family. Everyone is into the Sox. I just had to be different.

Who’s your dream prom date?

Jessica Alba. She was really hot in “Fantastic Four.”

Which actor would you cast to play yourself in a movie?

Will Smith. I’ve always loved “Fresh Prince (of Bel-Air),” and I’ve liked every movie he’s been in.

When did you start playing golf?

I didn’t start playing until seventh grade. I always played soccer. It was a tough decision to start focusing on golf.

Any hidden talents?

I used to play the trombone in band.

As told to Logan Malloy
