Football

Sandwich 14, No. 7 Coal City 10: Nate Natyshok had a 5-yard touchdown run for visiting Coal City (4-1, 2-1) in the Interstate Eight Large. Ryland Tondini led the Coalers in rushing with 78 yards on 13 attempts.

No. 8 Wilmington 31, Seneca 0: Alex Zlomie’s 45-yard interception return for a touchdown sparked visiting Wilmington (4-1, 3-0) in the Interstate Eight Small. Seneca dropped to 2-3, 2-1.

Manteno 17, Peotone 14: Jace Cowger (4 yards) and Danny Beresky (35) provided touchdown runs for visiting Peotone (3-1, 1-1) in the Interstate Eight Large.

Westmont 35, Reed-Custer 14: Cameron Novak scored both touchdowns for visiting Reed-Custer (1-4, 1-2) in the Interstate Eight Small.

Lisle 40, Dwight 0: Cliff Krause ran for 116 yards and three touchdowns to spark visiting Lisle (3-2, 2-1) in the Interstate Eight Small. Dwight fell to 0-5, 0-3.

Boys Golf

Don Nichols Invitational: Medalist Gehrig Hollatz shot a 71 in helping Lockport (307) gain a share of the title with Neuqua Valley at Wedgewood. Trent Wallace (72), of Joliet Township co-op, was second, followed by Lincoln-Way Central’s Tony Kestel (73) and Lemont’s Matt Groebe (74). Lincoln-Way Central (308) was third in the team standings, followed by Lincoln-Way East (317) and Joliet Township co-op (323).

Girls Golf

Minooka 193, Joliet Township co-op 203: Medalist Gabby Osorio shot a 43 in leading Minooka at Inwood. Milena Singletary (46) had the top score for Joliet Township co-op.

Women’s Volleyball

Lewis 18-25-25-25, St. Francis 25-18-16-18: Colleen Mitros and Cassidy Parsons pounded 13 kills apiece for host Lewis (6-6). Jazzmyne Robbins led St. Francis (13-3) with 14 kills.
