Boys Golf
Class 2A Chicago Christian Regional: Peotone teammates Joe DiGiannantonio (89), Dylan Niefeldt (90), Bryant Koelling (92) and Mike Trinowski (93) advanced to the sectional round on an individual basis. As a team, the Blue Devils (364) finished fourth at Silver Lake Country Club’s North Course in Orland Park.
Class 2A Joliet Catholic Regional: Medalist Nick Lennon (83) sparked Joliet Catholic (344) to the team title ahead of Lincoln-Way West (352) and Bishop McNamara (358) at the Joliet Country Club. Joliet Catholic’s Ryan Newsome and Lincoln-Way West’s Sean Knights (85 each) tied for second, one stroke better than Lincoln-Way West’s Andrew O’Keefe and Bishop McNamara’s Gavin Bisaillon. Ryan Borgstrom, of Morris, shot an 87 in heading the list of individual sectional qualifiers.
Class 1A Dwight co-op Regional: Dwight co-op (356) advanced to the sectional after taking second to Bismarck-Henning (334) at Dwight Country Club. Blake Huseman shot a team-best 81 for the runner-up Trojans, while Nathan Zabel added an 86.
Class 1A Seneca Regional: Josh Rohder (80) led Seneca (343) to a second-place finish behind Beecher (327) at Nettle Creek in Morris. Conlan Callahan (83), Mike Osborne (88) and Ben Rohder (92) also starred for the Fighting Irish.
Girls Volleyball
Homewood-Flossmoor 25-26, No. 3 Lockport 13-24: Aubrey Ficek had seven kills (7 digs) and Katie Dugan added 15 digs to lead visiting Lockport (13-6, 0-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.
No. 4 Lincoln-Way East 25-25, Joliet West 6-16: Marissa DeGroot posted 12 service points and Kayla Currier chipped in six kills to propel host Lincoln-Way East (16-4, 2-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.
No. 5 Lincoln-Way Central 25-25, Joliet Central 12-14: Kaitlyn Siadek had 18 assists and five digs to lead host Lincoln-Way Central (15-5, 2-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Morgan Commet added 14 digs for the Knights.
No. 6 Morris 25-25, Dixon 16-16: Katie Chatten had 23 assists for visiting Morris (16-8, 3-3) in the Northern Illinois Big 12 crossover.
Volley for the Cure
No. 7 Lemont 25-25, Oak Forest 14-18: Kelly Ferguson and Kiley Rendak each had seven kills for host Lemont (17-9, 8-1) in the South Suburban Blue.
Bradley 22-25-25, No. 9 Lincoln-Way West 25-19-22: Sarah Wegrzyn chalked up 15 kills, 10 digs and four aces to pace host Lincoln-Way West (15-9, 1-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
No. 10 Minooka 26-25-25, Plainfield East 28-13-23: Skyler Day had 14 kills and 10 digs for visiting Minooka (10-6, 6-3) in the Southwest Prairie.
Reed-Custer 25-25, Wilmington 23-14: Marian Barton finished with seven kills, eight digs and six aces in leading host Reed-Custer (10-9-2, 3-4) in the Interstate Eight.
Coal City 25-25, Lisle 20-20: Emily Halliday (15 kills, 9 digs) and Kassie Aldridge (14 assists) guided host Coal City (12-9, 5-2) in the Interstate Eight.

Plainfield Central 3, Plainfield East 0: Tyler Badertscher set a school record with his 25th career shutout in pacing host Plainfield Central (10-8-1, 4-1) in the Southwest Prairie. Mo Rashid led the offense with two goals and an assist.
Plainfield South 3, Romeoville 1: Goals by Parker Gallt, Cesar Bautista and Manny Sanchez powered host Plainfield South (11-5-2, 3-2) in the Southwest Prairie.
Lincoln-Way East 3, Homewood-Flossmoor 0: Seth Adams, Ryan Tempel and Mike Roth netted goals for visiting Lincoln-Way East (10-2-5, 3-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Sean McGovern made five saves in recording his eighth shutout.
Peotone 5, Reed-Custer 0: Visiting Peotone prevailed in the Interstate Eight.
Andrew 3, Lincoln-Way Central 2 (OT): Nick Kowalkowski contributed a goal and an assist for visiting Lincoln-Way Central (8-7-2, 1-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
Lincoln-Way West 2, Lincoln-Way North 1: Shane Varner and Ian McGrath scored for visiting Lincoln-Way West (10-5-3, 3-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Tinley Park 94.5, Lemont 75.5: Erin Bendle won the 50-yard freestyle (27.20 seconds) and Maggie Brown in the 100 backstroke (1 minute, 10.50 seconds) to propel visiting Lemont in the South Suburban Blue.
Women’s Golf
CCAC Classic: Meg Monson (164) finished second in leading St. Francis (701) to a runner-up showing behind Olivet Nazarene (675) in the two-day tournament in South Bend, Ind.
