Javier Montalvo, of Lincoln-Way West, is this week’s Herald-News Player of the Week.
Montalvo, a junior running back, rushed for 208 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries in the Warriors’ 39-16 victory over Stagg. Montalvo, who was fourth on the team in rushing going into the game, had a whopping 170 yards on 11 carries in the first half. His efforts helped the Warriors keep their playoff hopes alive.
