Girls Volleyball
Class 2A Seneca Sectional
Watseka 25-19-25, Seneca 23-25-21: Kat Grimes dished out 26 assists and Taylor Bauer posted 12 kills to pace Watseka (32-4) in the championship. Seneca finished 27-9-3.
Men’s Basketball
Indiana State 79, Lewis 66: Julian Lewis scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds to pace visiting Lewis in exhibition play. Ryan Jackson and Kyle Nelson tacked on 14 and 12 points, respectively, for the Flyers.
Women’s Volleyball
St. Francis 25-25-25, Purdue-Calumet 15-17-13: Ashley Thompson’s 13 kills led visiting St. Francis (33-6, 18-1) to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference title. Ashley Richards added 33 assists for the Saints, who clinched the No. 1 seed in next week’s conference tournament as well as an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships.
