Girls Diving
Homewood-Flossmoor Invitational: Lincoln-Way West’s Alex Skiniotes (371.25 points) won first place in helping the Warriors (20) tie for third in the nine-team competition.
Men’s Basketball
St. Francis 86, Huntington (Ind.) 60: Chris Miller scored a game-high 28 points to guide host St. Francis (1-1). Andrew Lerg added 16 points for the Saints, while Billy Hubly contributed 13 points, six rebounds and six assists.
Men’s Cross Country
NCAA Division II Midwest Regional: Lewis’ Andrew McClain qualified for the NCAA Championships after placing third (31 minutes, 9 seconds) in the 10-kilometer race in Somers, Wis. As a team, the Flyers (170 points) were seventh among the 23 squads.
CCAC Championships: Phil Rizzo (24:10) and Brandon Carson (24:20) were the top two finishers in the 8-kilomer contest as St. Francis (22) captured the team crown at Channahon Community Park.
Women’s Volleyball
Lewis 25-25-25, Saint Joseph’s (Ind.) 16-14-14: Carly Perschnick and Jen Krumwiede had 11 and 10 kills, respectively, for host Lewis (21-9, 13-3) in the Great Lakes Valley. Leigh Barea added 40 assists for the Flyers.
Women’s Cross Country
NCAA Division II Midwest Regional: Lewis (464) had its season end after placing 18th in the 23-team meet in Somers, Wis. The Flyers were led by Amy Clawson (22:34), who was 41st in the 6-kilometer race.
CCAC Championships: Hilary Halford (17:34) was runner-up in the 5-kilometer contest as St. Francis (62) took second behind Olivet Nazarene (29) at Channahon Community Park.
