Boys Basketball

Joliet West Tournament

No. 1 Bolingbrook 70, Rich South 59: Ben Moore had 23 points, 10 rebounds and five assists to lead Bolingbrook (2-0). Prentiss Nixon added 22 points for the Raiders.

No. 4 Joliet West 68, Thornridge 49: Morris Dunnigan netted 19 points to spark Joliet West (2-0).

Tinley Park 56, No. 8 Plainfield North 52: Jake Nowak netted 12 points for Plainfield North (1-1).

Aurora Central Catholic 70, No. 9 Plainfield South 67: Zach Snowden scored 14 points to lead Plainfield South (0-2).

Lincoln-Way North Tournament

Lincoln-Way East 56, Lincoln-Way North 55: Mike Moss’ basket with 11 seconds remaining enabled Lincoln-Way East (3-0) to capture the championship. Chris DeRubertis led the Griffins with 14 points, while Tournament MVP Eric Spudic netted 11. Lincoln-Way North fell to 2-1. Lincoln-Way Central (1-2) won third place by defeating Lincoln-Way West 68-44.

St. Charles East Tournament

Downers Grove South 55, No. 7 Plainfield East 45: Aaron Jordan tossed in 24 points to pace Plainfield East (0-2).

WJOL Tournament

No. 2 Providence 48, Lockport 47: Kevin Kozan (21 points) and Miles Boykin (12) starred for Providence (2-0) at the University of St. Francis. Lockport (1-1) received 14 points from Derrick Lockhart.

No. 5 Minooka 52, Romeoville 36: Jake Hogen contributed a game-high 18 points for Minooka (1-1). Christian Diaz totaled seven points for Romeoville (0-2).

Wrestling

South Elgin quadrangular: Anthony Cielenski (145) notched a pair of pins in helping Lockport beat Plainfield North 67-12, Boylan 72-7 and South Elgin 57-18.
