Nathan, a senior, finished 25th in the state tournament last season while leading the Griffins to state as a team. He averaged 212 at the state meet.
Why bowling?
My dad was a girls high school bowling coach and made sure I got into it when I was young. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been bowling.
Did qualifying for state as a team surprise you guys last season?
Yeah. Our season last year was not the greatest, but we had a good team and we pulled together at the end. We knew what we could do. We just had to all come together as a team and we did and we got there. It was exciting.
You’ve got most of your team coming back. Excited for this season?
It’s exciting because we only lost two seniors and we think we can build on what we did last year and be better this year.
What are your goals for this year?
Definitely make it back to state, and basically just improve on last year.
What’s your high game?
268.
Do you ever play Wii bowling? If so, what’s easier: Wii or real?
I play Wii bowling and I’m pretty good at that. I’d have to say Wii bowling is probably easier. I can get high scores on that pretty easily.
What’s on your iPod?
Basically a little bit of everything. I have a lot of country and rap. I just mix it up.
If you could take any celebrity to prom, who would it be?
Jessica Alba. She’s attractive.
Which one of your teammates should have his own reality show?
(Senior) Mikey Lungaro. He’s an interesting character. He’d be fun to watch.
As told to Steve Millar
