Girls Basketball
No. 5 Lincoln-Way East 60, T.F. South 18: Meaghan McMahon (5 rebounds) and Kara Krolicki scored 13 points apiece for Lincoln-Way East (8-1) in Frankfort.
No. 6 Coal City 45, Gardner-South Wilmington 22: Emily Halliday provided 16 points and five steals to boost visiting Coal City (8-2). Nicole Borgetti added 10 points for the Coalers. Chelsea Schultz scored 13 points to pace Gardner-South Wilmington (5-9).
No. 9 Seneca 40, Serena 27: Host Seneca improved to 7-4.
Benet/Naperville North Tournament
Wheaton-Warrenville South 51, Providence 48: Alyssa Jurges posted a team-best 25 points for Providence (5-8) in the final round of pool play at Benet.
Oak Lawn Tournament
Lincoln-Way North 49, No. 2 Romeoville 29: Abby Smith contributed 13 points to lead Romeoville (9-1).
Oswego Tournament
Rosary 42, Minooka 39: Kelly Carnagio tossed in 14 points to pace Minooka (4-9) in its tournament finale.
Ottawa Tournament
No. 4 Joliet Catholic 62, Morris 22: Jasmine Lumpkin tossed in 17 points and Lauren Vanisko scored 12 to spearhead Joliet Catholic (11-1).
No. 4 Joliet Catholic 70, LaSalle-Peru 25: Lumpkin scored 25 points and Christina Ekhomu added 11 to power Joliet Catholic in its first game of the day.
Boys Bowling
Lincoln-Way Cup: No team scores were provided for the meet won by Lincoln-Way East at Laraway Lanes. Brandon Nice led the champion Griffins with a six-game score of 1,179
Wrestling
Lake Park Invitational: Lockport totaled 252 points in besting Schaumburg (175) for first place in the 16-team meet. The champion Porters were led by Brian Rossi (113 pounds) and Austin Strzelczyk (132), who won their respective weight classes in addition to sharing tournament MVP honors.
Lincoln-Way Cup: Joey Nelson (126) and Robbie Mikenis (138) won all three of their matches as host Lincoln-Way Central captured first place by defeating Lincoln-Way North 53-12, Lincoln-Way East 39-27 and Lincoln-Way West 34-22. Kyle Ruettiger (113) and Kyle Rodriguez (132) each went 3-0 for runner-up Lincoln-Way West, which topped Lincoln-Way East 38-25 and Lincoln-Way North 59-15.
Joliet Central quadrangular: Plainfield East swept the competition, beating Bolingbrook 36-25, Oak Forest 40-13 and Joliet Central 33-28. David Hamilton (120), Trayvon Zabala (126), Sharod Wilson (195) and Johnny Moore (220) posted two victories apiece for Joliet Central, which also lost to Oak Forest 39-30.
Marmion quadrangular: Jordan Ellingwood (195) recorded a pin and two wins via decision for Plainfield Central, which beat Luxemburg-Casco (Wis.) 38-30 and lost to Marist 41-15 and Marmion 47-9.
Wilmington quadrangular: Wilmington edged Bartlett 37-36, but also fell to Lowell (Mich.) 49-21 and Montini 58-12. Sean Liaromatis (170) was the standout for the Wildcats, winning three times, including twice by fall.
Plainfield South duals: Miguel Silva (106) garnered four pins in helping Plainfield South beat Sacred Heart-Griffin 73-6 and Ridgewood 67-6. Danny Saracco (170) posted four victories as well for the Cougars, who also lost to Wheaton North 37-36 and Herscher 37-35.
