Girls Basketball
No. 6 Coal City 62, Serena 37: Emily Halliday had 25 points and seven rebounds to lead host Coal City (9-2). Nicole Borgetti added 18 points for the Coalers and Donjeta Shabani had 11.
No. 9 Peotone 56, Momence 30: Claire O’Neill tossed in 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for visiting Peotone (10-4).
Minooka 46, Plainfield South 29: Larissa McLemen scored 19 points and Sydney Lilly added 10 to lead visiting Minooka (5-9, 3-2) in the Southwest Prairie. Tyler Everett had 12 points for Plainfield South (2-9, 1-4) and Alex Tarrant grabbed 11 rebounds.
Gardner-South Wilmington 60, Tri-Point 59 (OT): Chelsea Schultz chalked up a career-high 31 points to power host Gardner-South Wilmington (6-9 overall) in the River Valley.
Morris 45, LaSalle-Peru 42: Julie Jurasits finished with 15 points to pace visiting Morris (3-8) in the Northern Illinois Big 12 crossover.
Boys Bowling
Lincoln-Way West 1,976, Stagg 1,473: Josh Glover paced all bowlers with a 278 game and 506 series over two games in the SouthWest Suburban Red meet at Palos Lanes.
Girls Bowling
Lockport 1,968, Lincoln-Way East 1,609: Megan Szczepanski had games of 258 and 200 to spark Lockport in the SouthWest Suburban Blue dual at Strike N Spare II. Ashley Hostert added a 393 series for the Porters. Michelle Rybarczyk’s 350 series was tops for Lincoln-Way East.
Andrew 1,835, Lincoln-Way West 1,696: Jessie Schram posted a 206 game for Lincoln-Way West in the SouthWest Suburban Red meet at Laraway Lanes.
