Juozas Balciunas, of Lemont, is the Joliet Herald-News Boys Basketball Player of the Week.
Balciunas scored 24 points and was 10-of-11 from the free-throw line with four steals in the Indians’ 61-53 victory over Plainfield Central in the overall title game of the Romeoville Tournament. He was named the tournament MVP. He also scored 16 points in the Indians’ win over Ridgewood in the small-school title game.
