Girls Basketball
Coal City 45, Reed-Custer 19: No. 6 Coal City improved to 15-3, 6-1 with the homecourt win in the Interstate Eight. The Coalers were led by Donjeta Shabani’s 13 points and four steals. Emily Halliday added 11 points and five rebounds.
Lisle 44, Seneca 41: Seneca (10-11, 6-2) fell at home in the Interstate Eight. The Lady Irish were led by Danielle Hauch’s 13 points. Anna Baker added eight.
Peotone 52, Sandwich 27: Britney Campione and Kayla Paeth each had nine points for Peotone (14-5, 6-1) in the Interstate Eight. Campione also led the visitors with 12 rebounds.
Beecher 40, Gardner-South Wilmington 16: Beecher won at home in River Valley Conference action. Breann Fisher led the visitors (6-11, 3-3) with eight points.
Westmont 55, Dwight 52: Visiting Dwight fell in the Interstate Eight.
Herscher 41, Wilmington 34: Alexis Casey’s 10 points led Wilmington (6-10) in the Interstate Eight road loss.
Boys Basketball
Maine South 61, Minooka 31: No. 5 Minooka (8-6) fell at Maine South in Martin Luther King Tournament action.
