Girls Basketball
T.F. South 45, Lemont 37: Maddy Bermejan scored nine points in a losing cause for Lemont in the South Suburban game in Lansing.
Plainfield East 60, Minooka 32: Gabby Williams had 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead Plainfield East to the Southwest Prairie win. Nina Maggio added eight points and Faith Suggs four steals for Plainfield East (17-2, 7-0).
Homewood-Flossmoor 82, Joliet Central 24: Chavon Banks had seven points and 16 rebounds in a losing cause for Joliet Central in a SouthWest Suburban contest. Myresha Peten had seven points for Joliet Central.
Lockport 62, Joliet West 35: Destiny Hollins (12 points), Naomi Mayes (11) and Anna Novak (11) led a balanced Lockport effort in the SouthWest Suburban match in Joliet. The win improved the Porters to 7-8, 3-4.
Andrew 48, Lincoln-Way West 38: Molly Franson (19 points) and Nicole Dominguez (11) combined for 30 points to lead Andrew (13-4, 5-2) to the SouthWest Suburban win.
Oswego 61, Plainfield Central 36: Plainfield Central dropped the Southwest Prairie tilt.
Romeoville 51, Oswego East 42: Angelica Osusky scored 16 points and Kiera Currie registered a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards to help Romeoville to the Southwest Prairie win.
Boys Basketball
Coal City 41, Herscher 40: Joe Micetich’s layup with eight seconds remaining in the game lifted Coal City to the Interstate Eight win. Lane Cowherd led Coal City with 10 points. Dan Sullivan and Logan Orr had eight points apiece for Herscher.
Plainfield East 58, Naperville Central 56: Nick Novak (20 points) and Aaron Jordan (18) led Plainfield East (6-9) to the nonconference win.
Peotone 61, Wilmington 59: Dan O’Leary scored 28 points in a losing cause for Wilmington in the Interstate Eight contest. Nick Anderson contributed 14 points for the Wildcats (10-9. 3-4).
Illinois Lutheran 62, Gardner-South Wilmington 55: Gardner-South Wilmington dropped the River Valley Conference contest.
Girls Bowling
Lincoln-Way Central 1,629, Stagg 1,564: Lincoln-Way Central notched the SouthWest Suburban win.
Lockport 2,152, Bolingbrook 1,719: Megan Szczepanski racked up a 256 game to lead Lockport to the SouthWest Suburban win at AMF Lanes in Bolingbrook.
Joliet West 1,838, Lincoln-Way East 1,630: Alyssa Plese had high game (226) and high series (399) to lead Joliet West to the SouthWest Suburban win. Rachel Tobolaski rolled a team-high 365 series for Lincoln-Way East.
Wrestling
Wilmington 36, Clifton Central 33: Don Hays (160 pounds), Sean Liaromatis (170), Nick Vancura (195) and Derrick Romano (285) registered falls to lead Wilmington to the hard-fought victory.
