Girls Basketball
No. 7 Peotone 76, Clifton Central 25: Kayla Paeth scored 22 points for host Peotone (17-7). Brittney Campione added 16 points for the Blue Devils and Shelby Maupin had 12.
Sweet 16 Tournament
Providence 38, New Trier 37: Alyssa Jurges scored 14 points to spark Providence (10-12) in New Lenox.
Women’s Basketball
Joliet Junior College 72, Wright 49: Alana Warren totaled 16 points and eight rebounds for visiting Joliet Junior College (8-12, 5-0) in Region IV. Falon Edwards tacked on 14 points, seven rebounds and four steals for the Wolves.
