Competitive Dance
State Meet: Morris (83.36) and Lincoln-Way West (74.76) advanced to the finals after finishing fourth and ninth, respectively, during the preliminary round at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington. Peotone (70.14) qualified in 1A after coming in sixth during the preliminaries.
Girls Basketball
No. 1 Romeoville 65, Plainfield Central 22: Visiting Romeoville improved to 22-3 overall and 11-0 in the Southwest Prairie.
No. 9 Lemont 44, Bremen 29: Courtney Toth scored 11 points to pace visiting Lemont (13-10, 7-3) in the South Suburban Blue.
Boys Basketball
No. 7 Providence 66, St. Francis de Sales 61: Kevin Kozan chalked up 27 points to power visiting Providence (11-10, 4-3) in the Catholic League South.
Gardner-South Wilmington 49, Donovan 44: Kyle Robison scored 20 points to lead host Gardner-South Wilmington (2-19, 2-7) in the River Valley.
Interstate Eight Tournament
No. 8 Seneca 50, Westmont 34: Peyton Schrag netted 17 points for Seneca (18-3) in the championship at Reed-Custer.
