Candace Finnin, of Lincoln-Way Central, is the Herald-News Girls Basketball Player of the Week.
A 5-foot-10 junior guard, Finnin helped the Knights to SouthWest Suburban Blue wins over Joliet Central and Joliet West. The junior scored 20 points against Joliet Central in a 56-43 victory that snapped Central’s seven-game losing streak, then added 20 points and 10 rebounds in a 64-53 victory at Joliet West.
