Boys Basketball
No. 1 Joliet West 56, Lincoln-Way East 37: Morris Dunnigan scored 17 points to steer host Joliet West (13-6, 6-3) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Lincoln-Way East dropped to 8-11, 2-7.
No. 2 Lemont 80, Tinley Park 63: Juozas Balciunas had 30 points, six assists and four steals to propel visiting Lemont (19-2, 8-1) in the South Suburban Blue. Joey Hehir added 17 points for the Indians and Jake Terrazas pulled down 10 rebounds.
No. 3 Bolingbrook 48, Sandburg 46 (OT): Prentiss Nixon netted 13 points to lift visiting Bolingbrook (16-5, 7-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Kenneth Williams and C.J. Redmond chipped in 11 points apiece for the Raiders.
Sycamore 44, No. 5 Morris 36: Jason Matteson had 12 points and Ben Ortiz had 11 for host Morris (12-8, 3-4) in the Northern Illinois Big 12 East.
No. 8 Seneca 56, No. 10 Coal City 50 (OT): Conlan Callahan scored 14 points to aid host Seneca (20-3, 8-0) in the Interstate Eight. Nick Peters, of Coal City (13-10, 4-3), led all scorers with 24 points.
No. 9 Plainfield North 67, Romeoville 38: Marcus Fair scored 23 points and dished out five assists to lift visiting Plainfield North (9-12, 6-3) in the Southwest Prairie. Trevor Stumpe added 16 points and nine rebounds for the Tigers. Rashad Steele had 10 points for Romeoville (4-18, 0-9).
Lincoln-Way West 69, Bradley 64: Hayden Witt notched 22 points to ignite visiting Lincoln-Way West (2-20, 1-8) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
Dwight 39, Herscher 37: Blake Huseman’s 22 points led host Dwight (7-17, 2-5) in the Interstate Eight.
Reed-Custer 79, Wilmington 58: Nate Rock and Dan O’Leary had 17 points each for Wilmington (11-13, 3-5) in the Interstate Eight.
Girls Basketball
No. 1 Romeoville 64, Plainfield North 42: Kiera Currie (11 rebounds) and Angelica Osusky each scored 17 points as visiting Romeoville (24-3, 13-0) earned a share of the Southwest Prairie championship. Brianna Harris tacked on 15 points and six rebounds for the Spartans.
Minooka 37, Plainfield South 20: Sam Wurtz tossed in 12 points and Erin Heide had 10 to aid host Minooka (10-16, 7-6) in the Southwest Prairie.
Sycamore 55, Morris 49: Julie Jurasits had 14 points for host Morris (5-19, 0-9) in the Northern Illinois Big 12 East.
Men’s Volleyball
Lewis 25-25-21-25, Grand Canyon (Ariz.) 19-22-25-14: Geoff Powell had 16 kills for visiting Lewis (5-5, 1-0) in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association.
