Girls Basketball
Class 4A Benet Regional
East Aurora 61, Plainfield Central 55: Nicole Pease scored 23 points and Hennessey Handy chipped in 11 for Plainfield Central in the quarterfinal.
Class 4A Bradley Regional
Minooka 52, Normal Community 27: Kelly Carnagio and Sam Wurtz had eight points apiece to steer Minooka (12-17) in the quarterfinal round.
Class 4A Lemont Regional
No. 8 Lemont 33, Plainfield South 21: Courtney Toth scored 10 points to guide Lemont (14-13) in the quarterfinal. Alley Fink had a team-high eight points for Plainfield South.
Class 4A Lincoln-Way East Regional
Lincoln-Way Central 58, Washington 12: Autumn Schultz (10 points) and Candace Finnin (9) powered Lincoln-Way Central (10-15) in the quarterfinal.
Class 4A Metea Valley Regional
Lockport 61, Joliet Central 41: Naomi Mayes poured in 27 points to boost Lockport (12-13) in the quarterfinal. Joliet Central finished 4-25.
Class 4A Yorkville Regional
Plainfield North 65, Joliet West 56: Carlie Corrigan had 30 points to spark Plainfield North (13-13) in the quarterfinal. Kailey Foster finished with 11 points for Joliet West (6-20).
Boys Basketball
Wilmington 61, Beecher 55: Dan O’Leary scored 31 points to propel host Wilmington (12-15).
Boys Indoor Track & Field
Lincoln-Way Central triangular: Providence won seven of 14 events in the non-scoring meet. The Celtics were led by Chad Weaver, who prevailed in the 55-meter dash (6.4 seconds) and pole vault (15 feet, 6 inches). Lincoln-Way Central captured first place in five events, including the 2-mile relay (8 minutes, 55.1 seconds). Among the individual winners for the Knights was Dru Rozewicki in the 800 (2:10.1).
