THE STAR: Bolingbrook 6-foot-8 senior forward Ben Moore hit his final eight shots, including a 5-of-5 third quarter, when Bolingbrook began to open a lead over Joliet West. He finished with 20 points and six rebounds in the Raiders’ 71-58 win.
THE MOMENT: Moore had the ball at the free-throw line extended as the third quarter wound down. He beat his man off the dribble and rose up over West’s 6-foot-7 Andre Hardy for a resounding dunk and a 53-47 lead.
THE QUOTE: “Ben Moore was in the attack mode tonight and he is a match-up nightmare. You put a big on him and he takes him on the dribble. You put a smaller guy on him and he takes him down low.” — West coach Luke Yaklich
