Jasmine Lumpkin, of Joliet Catholic, is the Herald-News Girls Basketball Player of the Week.
A junior forward, Lumpkin scored 20 points in Joliet Catholic’s 66-48 win over Providence in a 3A regional semifinal. Then in helping the Angels to their first regional title since 2006, Lumpkin scored 20 points and pulled down 16 rebounds in a 51-39 win over Coal City in the regional title game.
