Boys Indoor Track
& Field
Thornwood Invitational: Nick Hinton won the high jump (5 feet, 10 inches) as Lincoln-Way West (35 points) finished fifth out of six teams.
Girls Indoor Track
& Field
Lockport Invitational: Aubrey Elwood, Emmie Hahn, Kim Johnson and Bianca Wiemeyer won the 2-mile relay (10 minutes, 18.26 seconds) in helping Lockport (64) finish second behind St. Ignatius (100.50) in the 12-team meet. Plainfield Central (40) was fifth, thanks in part to Jenna Moody, who prevailed in the 55-meter dash (7.35 seconds).
Plainfield South Invitational: Plainfield North (99.50) won three events en route to securing top honors in the eight-team field. The Cougars prevailed in the mile relay (4:27.44) and also received victories from Rachel Lau in the 2-mile run (12:01.01) and Laura Ferguson in the pole vault (8-6). Joliet Catholic’s Francesca Sikorski was first in the 400 (1:03.41).
Men’s Basketball
Lewis 96, St. Joseph’s 77: Ryan Jackson and David Bryant scored 22 points apiece for visiting Lewis (17-8, 11-6) in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Kyle Nelson and Jeff Jarosz added 12 points each for the Flyers.
Women’s Basketball
Lewis 68, St. Joseph’s 63: Labrenthia Murdock netted 20 points and Jess Reinhart added 13 points and 11 rebounds to spark visiting Lewis (20-5, 13-4) in the GLVC.
