Boys Volleyball
Plainfield South 25-25, Joliet West 19-17: James Hill had nine kills for host Plainfield South in the season opener for both teams.
Badminton
Lincoln-Way West quadrangular: Emily Keith and Lizzie Bradshaw (No. 1 doubles) won twice for Lincoln-Way West, which beat Downers Grove South 7-1, lost 6-2 to Neuqua Valley and tied Wheaton Warrenville South 4-all.
Boys Water Polo
Lockport 18, Bradley 11: Dan Oldendorf scored five times to propel visiting Lockport (9-0, 1-0) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. Jake Elias and Jake Knowles each chipped in four goals for the Porters.
