Plainfield East 21, Plainfield North 15: Touchdown runs by Jake Mayon (95 yards) and Cole Kotopka (1) ignited host Plainfield East (3-1, 1-1) in the Southwest Prairie. Plainfield North (1-3, 0-2) was led by quarterback Dilibe Ekowa, who threw scoring passes covering 7 yards to Kyle Speas and 34 yards to Jack O’Connor.
Andrew 14, Lincoln-Way Central 7: Sean Studer (31 carries, 183 yards) scored on a 44-yard run for visiting Lincoln-Way Central (1-3, 0-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
Morris 38, Dixon 21: Jake Walker contributed touchdown runs of 46 and 53 yards in leading host Morris (2-2) in the Northern Illinois Big 12 crossover. Matt Feidin added a pair of scores for the Redskins, one of which came on a 39-yard screen pass from quarterback Griffin Sobol.
Wilmington 42, Dwight co-op 0: Nick McWilliams had 11 carries for 92 yards and two touchdowns (6, 13 yards) for visiting Wilmington (4-0, 2-0) in the Interstate Eight Small. Alex Zlomie added scoring runs of 10 and 63 yards for the Wildcats. Dwight co-op fell to 0-4, 0-2.
Plano 25, Peotone 21: Jake Rapson (43 carries) totaled 182 yards and two touchdowns in starring for visiting Peotone (2-2, 1-1) in the Interstate Eight Large.
Lisle 24, Reed-Custer 22: Ben Buchelt’s 37-yard field goal with less than a second remaining won it for host Lisle (2-2, 1-1) in the Interstate Eight Small. Quarterback Mark Harper contributed a 16-yard touchdown run for Reed-Custer (1-3, 1-1).
Seneca 29, Westmont 28: Bailey Lejawa’s fumble recovery in the end zone with 5.4 seconds left in the game - coupled with Bo Taylor’s 2-point conversion run - sparked visiting Seneca (4-0, 2-0) in the Interstate Eight Small. Taylor added three touchdowns, including a 66-yard run and a 42-yard reception from quarterback Ben Barnett.
Coal City 31, Herscher 14: Visiting Coal City (2-2, 1-1) captured its first victory in the Interstate Eight Large.
Oak Lawn Invitational: Sarah Paetsch had eight service points and Gianna Dever added six kills as Romeoville (2-15) defeated Bremen 23-25, 25-15, 15-12 in its second match of the night. The Spartans opened with a 25-14, 25-10 loss to T.F. South.
Plainfield North 6, Joliet Catholic 2: Logan Wright contributed a goal and four assists to spark host Lincoln-Way North (2-2-2). Panagiotis Zografos and Diego Guzman scored for Joliet Catholic (1-9-1).
Lincoln-Way West 162, Bremen 220: Medalist Max Petrungaro registered a 39 to propel Lincoln-Way West at Cardinal Creek.
Providence 163, Marian Catholic 166: Marian Catholic’s Matt Hershberger and Providence’s Bobby Fuesel tied for medalist with rounds of 39 at Mistwood.
Lemont 154, Plainfield South 154: Lemont’s Bridget Lynn shot a 33 in capturing medalist honors at Mid Iron.
Lewis 2, Truman State 1 (2 OTs): Christhian Ramirez’s goal in the 106th minute guided visiting Lewis (3-0-2, 2-0-1) in the Great Lakes Valley match. Michael Pyle also scored for the Flyers.
Women’s Cross Country
National Catholic Championships: Amanda Farrough (18 minutes, 20.6 seconds) finished third in the 5-kilometer race as Lewis (46) won the 26-team meet in South Bend. Kristen Bonsor (18:36.6) added a sixth-place finish for the Flyers and Ciersten Deardorf (18:49.6) came in 10th.
Lewis 1, Truman State 1 (2 OTs): Jessica Chavez had the goal for visiting Lewis (4-0-1, 2-0-1) in the GLVC. Jennifer Meyer made seven saves for the Flyers.
