Lockport 25-25, Thornwood 9-14: Amber Stefanski and Meredith Friscia each had four kills to boost visiting Lockport (10-7) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. Kayla Pfeiffer and Olivia Witsaman added four aces apiece for the Porters.
Lincoln-Way North 25-25, Bolingbrook 20-16: Shannon Murphy totaled 13 assists and five digs to spark host Lincoln-Way North (15-3) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. Brittany Pappas added eight kills for the Phoenix and Niki Wagner had 12 digs.
Joliet West 25-25, Thornton 14-13: Elexis Coleman finished with five kills and seven aces for visiting Joliet West (8-10). Shannon Doran added 13 assists and six digs for the Tigers in the SouthWest Suburban crossover.
Lincoln-Way Central 25-25, Stagg 19-18: Mariel Leibovitz posted 20 assists and seven digs to lead host Lincoln-Way Central (14-4). Maria Brown added nine kills and eight digs for the Knights in the SouthWest Suburban crossover.
Plainfield East 25-25, Romeoville 17-23: Kelly Grba had 11 assists and MacKenzi Welsh added 10 kills to pace visiting Plainfield East (8-11, 2-5) in the Southwest Prairie. Andrea Chaidez finished with five blocks for Romeoville.
Lincoln-Way East 25-25, Bradley 16-22: Jessica Lindsey chalked up 12 kills and 10 digs to pace visiting Lincoln-Way East (7-6) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. The Griffins also received 25 assists from Taylor Nirchi and eight kills from Sarah Dobrich.
Minooka 25-25, Plainfield South 12-23: Megan Bauer and Kelly Clucas each passed out 10 assists for visiting Minooka (10-4, 6-1) in the Southwest Prairie. Skyler Day led the Indians in kills with eight. Plainfield South’s Liz Turk finished with eight service points and four digs.
Joliet Catholic 25-25, St. Viator 13-13: Mary Murphy put up 15 assists and nine service points in showing the way for host Joliet Catholic (11-3, 2-1). Megan Rogers aided the cause for the Angels with eight service points and four kills.
Plainfield North 25-25, Oswego East 11-13: Kate Federico posted 19 assists and Lauren Robeck added six kills to guide host Plainfield North (21-2, 7-0) in the Southwest Prairie. Dakota Santore (5 kills, 6 digs) also starred for the Tigers.
Marist 25-25, Providence 23-16: Rachel Alles had eight assists and Allie Marthaler added 13 digs for visiting Providence (14-9, 1-1) in the East Suburban Catholic.
Lincoln-Way West 25-16-25, Joliet Central 18-25-13: Rachel Johnson’s nine kills and 15 digs keyed host Lincoln-Way West (14-5) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. Katie Davis (22 assists) and Megan McGuire (10 digs) also contributed for the Warriors.
DeKalb 25-24-25, Morris 9-26-20: Taya Torkelson put up 18 assists and Kaylin Korte spiked eight kills to lead host Morris (12-8-1, 2-3) in the Northern Illinois Big 12.
Coal City 25-25, Plano 12-21: Kassie Aldridge posted 18 assists and six digs for host Coal City (11-7, 6-0) in the Interstate Eight North. Emily Halliday tacked on nine kills, 10 digs and four aces for the Coalers.
Gardner-South Wilmington 25-25, Donovan 9-8: Lexi Posing had five kills to aid visiting Gardner-South Wilmington (11-5, 4-2) in the River Valley.
Plainfield North 3, Plainfield East 0: Logan Wright scored twice and Cade Sink (3rd shutout) made five saves to lift visiting Plainfield North (11-2-2, 2-1) in the Southwest Prairie.
Plainfield Central 4, Plainfield Central 0: Gustavo Sanchez’s two goals steered host Plainfield Central (8-4-4, 3-0) in the Southwest Prairie.
Coal City 1, Reed-Custer 0: Kevin Soto scored on an assist from Jake Borgra to lead visiting Coal City (3-11-1, 3-4) in the Interstate Eight. Chase Mincey stopped nine shots for the Coalers. Reed-Custer fell to 4-12, 1-5.
Sandburg 2, Joliet West 0: Goals by Przemyslaw Tylka and Mike Moore loomed large for visiting Sandburg (9-4, 1-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Joliet West dropped to 4-7-4, 0-1.
Plainfield South 1, Oswego 0: Adam Burt (goal) and Eric Fischer (6 saves) combined to give visiting Plainfield South (5-7-3, 2-1) the Southwest Prairie victory.
Andrew 1, Lincoln-Way Central 0 (OT): Sean McLaughlin scored off Jonathan Sustaita’s corner kick to lift visiting Andrew (5-4-2, 1-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Lincoln-Way Central fell to 4-6-4, 0-1.
Lemont 2, Shepard 0: Teddy Trifunovski had both goals for visiting Lemont (7-6-2, 6-2) in the South Suburban crossover.
Lincoln-Way West 3, Lincoln-Way North 0: Ian McGrath, Josh Dahlberg and Zak Pavlovich had goals for visiting Lincoln-Way West (9-3-3, 1-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
East Suburban Catholic Tournament: Dyllan Mattea (76) was fifth in guiding Joliet Catholic (331) to a sixth-place finish at Old Orchard in Mount Prospect. Carmel (313) captured top honors in the nine-team meet, while runner-up St. Viator (314) produced the medalist in Robert Renner (72).
SouthWest Suburban Blue Tournament: Lockport’s Gehrig Hollatz defeated Trent Wallace, of Joliet Township co-op, on the fourth hole of a sudden-death playoff after both had carded rounds of 72. Hollatz’s performance sparked the Porters (302) to a four-stroke victory over runner-up Sandburg at Coyote Run in Flossmoor. Matt Sheldon added a 74 for Lockport, which also received 78s from Joe Gawle and Luke Trent.
Streator 178, Dwight co-op 179: Andy Froelich’s 44 was the best for Dwight co-op at Dwight Country Club. Streator teammates Max Vickers and Marvin Pfilbsen tied for medalist with rounds of 41.
Lemont 186, Plainfield North 212: Medalist Bridget Lynn shot a 43 to propel Lemont at Woodbine.
Stagg 7, Bolingbrook 0: Leeza Bodnar and Silvia Kulbokas won in straight sets at No. 1 doubles for host Stagg in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.
Andrew 6, Lincoln-Way West 1: Katie Kaczmarek won at No. 1 singles for host Lincoln-Way West in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
Providence 3, Marist 2: Lizzie Egggen and Mary Beth Galick posted a victory at No. 2 doubles for host Providence in the East Suburban Catholic.
Morris 5, DeKalb 0: Megan Davy (No. 1) and Emma Dingbaum (No. 2) won their respective singles matches for host Morris (7-3, 3-3) in the Northern Illinois Big 12.
Minooka 4, Plainfield South 3: Shannon Norton and Gabby Muir (No. 2 doubles) were among the winners for visiting Minooka in the Southwest Prairie. Savannah Hoar posted a victory at No. 1 singles for Plainfield South.
Lemont 98, Richards 62: Wins by Annette Lesnicki in the 100-yard freestyle (59.66 seconds) and 200 individual medley (2 minutes, 22.99 seconds) loomed large for host Lemont in the South Suburban crossover. Bridget Doherty added victories in the 50 free (28.39) and 200 free (2:14.31) for the Indians.
St. Francis 25-21-25-25, Purdue-North Central 15-25-9-18: Megan Mowery totaled 13 kills, Danielle Conrad dished out 25 assists and Breanne Shaw added 26 digs to spark visiting St. Francis (12-6, 4-1) in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
