Benet 8, Joliet Catholic 1: Lorenzo Reyes scored on an assist from Panagiotis Zografos to aid visiting Joliet Catholic (2-13-1, 0-5) in the East Suburban Catholic.
Class AA Lemont Regional: Bridget Lynn shot an 82 in pacing Lemont (356) to third place and a berth in the state tournament. Laura Ringo (87), Emma Houran (93) and Stephanie Eby (94) also contributed for the Indians at Broken Arrow. Hinsdale Central (315) won the title ahead of Lyons (325), which produced the medalist in Macy Tabachka (76).
Class AA Metamora Regional: Minooka (398) took third behind Galesburg (379) and Moline (389) at Metamora Fields. Becca Andreano led the Indians with a 97, which was one stroke better than teammates Andra and Miranda Sharp. Galesburg’s Taylor Nesselroad (82) was the medalist.
Class A Putnam County Regional: Sarah Maddox, of Reed-Custer, paced the field with an 82 at Edgewood in Granville. Coal City’s Alyssa Erickson (102) and Morris’ Hailey Hoaglund (110) also earned bids to the state meet. Putnam County (388) was first in the team standings, followed by St. Bede (430) and Beecher (437).
Providence 3, Illiana Christian 2: Lizzie Eggen and Mary Beth Galick (No. 2 doubles) won in three sets to lift host Providence (19-6). The Celtics also received victories from Hannah Davis at No. 1 singles and the No. 1 doubles team of Maggie and Kelly Ruane.
Illinois Tech 1, St. Francis 0: Amanda Coleman made three saves to aid host St. Francis (7-3).
