Plainfield Central 25-25, Plainfield South 15-13: Ashley Shook totaled 15 assists, seven digs and six kills for host Plainfield Central (14-12, 6-4). Elizabeth Hyland added 12 kills and eight digs for the Wildcats in the Southwest Prairie. Alyssa O’Boyle led Plainfield South (6-15, 2-8) with 10 assists and eight digs.
Providence 25-25, Bishop McNamara 18-19: Rachel Alles had 17 assists and Annie Cummings had eight kills to lead host Providence (16-10, 3-2) in the East Suburban Catholic. Clare Urchell tacked on nine digs for the Celtics.
Oswego East 25-24-25, Plainfield East 20-26-21: Kelly Grba had 12 assists and MacKenzi Welsh added 11 kills and five assists for host Plainfield East (11-12, 4-5). The Tigers also received eight kills from Briana McGee and seven assists from Allison Bowbin.
Lemont 25-25, Richards 19-16: Ali Lund had five kills and Jenna Walaszek added five digs to pace visiting Lemont (23-5, 11-1) in the South Suburban crossover.
Minooka 25-25, Oswego 18-17: Kelly Clucas posted 13 assists and Ginger Perinar had nine kills to aid host Minooka (11-6, 7-3) in the Southwest Prairie. Megan Bauer (9 assists) and Skyler Day (6 kills) were among the other contributors for the Indians.
Plainfield North 25-25, Romeoville 13-16: Lauren Murphy racked up 19 assists and Maddie Zyburt had 10 digs for host Plainfield North (23-3, 9-1) in the Southwest Prairie. Romeoville dropped to 3-23, 0-10.
Lockport 25-19-25, Homewood-Flossmoor 19-25-21: Kayla Pfeiffer rang up 12 kills, 12 assists and 13 digs to lead host Lockport (13-7, 3-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. The Porters’ other contributors included Lindsey Visvardis (26 digs) and Sarah Kurzawski (7 kills, 10 digs).
Sandburg 25-25, Joliet Central 12-14: Julia Borschel posted five kills and Alyssa Kijewski had 10 digs to pace visiting Sandburg (19-7, 3-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.
Peotone 25-25, Momence 10-22: Rachel McBride finished with 12 assists and six service points to boost visiting Peotone (13-11). Lauren Ladwein chipped in 12 service points for the Blue Devils, while Anissa Bennett had nine assists and seven kills.
Coal City 25-23-25, Dwight 16-25-16: Nicole Borgetti’s 16 digs and five blocks aided host Coal City (15-7) in the Interstate Eight crossover. Carly Pavlis (8 assists, 5 digs) also starred for the Coalers.
Morris 25-26-25, Kaneland 17-28-16: Abby Baker registered 11 kills and Taya Torkelson passed out 25 assists to vault host Morris (14-9-1, 3-3) in the Northern Illinois Big 12 East.
Seneca 25-25, Reed-Custer 15-16: Haley Richey had 23 digs for host Reed-Custer (1-19) in the Interstate Eight crossover. Breanne Walski added six assists for the Comets.
Bolingbrook 1, Joliet West 0: Frimpong Sintim scored on an assist from Hugo Lopez to power visiting Bolingbrook (11-8, 3-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Brandon Murillo made five saves in recording his first career shutout.
Lincoln-Way East 1, Lincoln-Way North 0: Sean Sibley’s goal made visiting Lincoln-Way East (10-4-2, 4-0) a winner in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Sean McGovern (4 saves) picked up his fifth shutout.
Morris 6, Minooka 1: Leah Lines and Monica Davy posted a win at No. 1 doubles for host Morris (11-3). Bridget Byrne (No. 3 singles) was among the other winners for the Redskins.
Lockport 123, Homewood-Flossmoor 63: Amanda Moran’s wins in the 50-yard freestyle (25.81 seconds) and 100 butterfly (1 minute, 0.44 seconds) catapulted visiting Lockport in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.
Lemont 108, Thornton Fractional co-op 52: Sarah Oprzedek won the 200 free (2:20.27) and 500 free (6:12.32) for host Lemont in the South Suburban Blue. Annette Lesnicki added victories in the 100 free (1:00.83) and 200 individual medley (2:25.28) for the Indians.
USTA/ITA Small School Championships: The Lewis doubles team of Zsofia Lanstiak and Zsofia Kranczicki qualified for the national semifinal in Fort Myers, Fla., by virtue of a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Brooke Hughes and Sasha Khadzhyan of St. Edward’s (Texas).
St. Francis 25-25-25, Purdue-Calumet 20-15-20: Danielle Conrad’s 19 assists and Megan Mowery’s 11 kills guided visiting St. Francis (16-7, 7-2) in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
