Saints preview: The high-powered Saints are at home for just the second time this season against the Eagles in a Mid-States Football Association Mideast contest. QB E.J. White ranks second in the NAIA in yards passing and total offense. As a team, the Saints stand fifth in the nation in total offense and eighth in scoring offense. WR Elliot Allen needs 49 yards on kickoff returns and 74 yards on punt runbacks to become the school’s all-time record holder in those categories. DEs Eric Davis and Jeff Cascella rank sixth and 14th, respectively, in the nation in tackles-for-loss. WR Troy Torrence stands among the national top 10 in total yards receiving, yards receiving per game, receptions per game and total receptions.
Eagles preview: Since starting the season 3-0 and being ranked as high as 22nd, Robert Morris has lost two of its last three games. The Eagles boast a plus-10 turnover margin, having turned the ball over just three times in six games. They have outscored the opposition 44-18 in the fourth quarter of games this season. WR Deshawn Weaver is the NAIA’s second-leading receiver (45) and RB Lamont Wins ranks seventh in the nation in rushing yards (678). QB Matt Westerkamp, a two-time state champion during his days at Montini, has thrown for 1,115 yards, nine TDs and just one interception.
