Football: Oswego rolls over Plainfield North 35-6

Oswego (5-2, 5-0) captured its 21st straight Southwest Prairie Conference win dating to the 2011 season by scoring 21 unanswered points in the second and third quarters. Plainfield North fell to 3-4, 2-3.
Tyler Walsh’s 10-yard touchdown run turned a 6-0 deficit midway through the second quarter into a 7-6 lead. Oswego also scored on its next possession to take a 14-6 lead at the intermission.
Junior receiver Zach West caught three touchdown passes from sophomore quarterback Steven Frank. The Oswego defense did not allow an offensive touchdown for the second game in a row.
Oswego quarterback Steve Frank completed 13-of-28 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns. West hauled in eight passes for 167 yards and three scores. A week after rushing for 406 yards, Marcus Edwards had 34 yards rushing for Plainfield North.
