Class 2A Somonauk Regional
Seneca 25-25, Amboy 17-12: Madison Wyss had 10 service points, eight assists and four aces to vault Seneca (29-7-1) into the sectional round. Taylor Vandenberg added eight kills and six service points for the Irish.
Class 2A Wilmington Regional
Mount Assisi 26-25, Wilmington 24-19: Sunny Winkler compiled 11 kills and five digs to spark Wilmington (16-20) in the championship. Madeline McDonnell added 12 assists for the Wildcats and Nicole Neagle had 10 service points.
Class 3A Lincoln-Way West Regional
Lincoln-Way West 23-25-25, Illiana Christian 25-20-22: Katie Davis had 37 assists and Carissa Lorenz 14 kills to lead Lincoln-Way West (19-13) in the final. Rachel Johnson (17 digs) and Megan McGuire (8 kills) also starred for the Warriors.
Class 3A Manteno Regional
Coal City 25-25, Manteno 21-20: Emily Halliday (9 digs), Claire Smith (6 blocks), Nicole Borgetti (5 blocks) and Britta Spelde posted six kills apiece in helping Coal City (22-9-2) win its first regional crown in seven years. Kassie Aldridge led the Coalers in assists with 25.
Class 3A Streator Regional
LaSalle-Peru 25-25-28, Morris 9-27-26: Taya Torkelson had 25 assists and Kaylin Korte nine kills to aid Morris (19-15-1) in the title round.
Class 4A Ottawa Regional
Rock Island 25-27, Minooka 20-25: Kelly Clucas had 15 assists and Natalie Yard finished with 11 digs to pace Minooka (21-12) in the championship. Ginger Perinar added eight kills and five digs for the Indians.
Ave Maria 84, St. Francis 78: Katie Gonnering had team highs with 26 points and 11 rebounds for host St. Francis in its season opener. Paige Stankus added a career-best 18 points for the Saints.
